Fills my needs to have coffee at home or take it with me.
The instructions say not to wash in the dishwasher and to fill your container with hot water if you want it to stay hot. [...] I have not used the container yet, only the cups. I think it is a good buy for the money [...]

One of the main reasons I wanted this coffee maker was the versatility of cups/pot. I am the only one who drinks coffee in my house and wanted to use the travel mugs. I washed them by hand first, and water got trapped in the insulated part and didn't want to come out easily. Shaking it gets some liquid out but not all. I thought those cups could have been the "bad batch" so I returned it all and tried a second one. This time I washed a travel mug in the dishwasher (is dishwasher safe)...same problem. I will be returning this one too (and not trying a third one). BTW, the two coffee makers were purchased in different states more than 400 miles apart! They need to fix the travel mugs!

I have been using Mr. Coffee/Brun etc for years but truly, this surpasses them all. I love the coffee, the caraf (keeps it so hot... all day!). My Mr. coffee leaked and smelled, this is fresh and so clean!

I didn't read the reviews until after I bought this and I almost returned it. I am so glad I didn't because the company obviously listened and changed the product. My thermal carafe doesn't leak at all, and I've washed my containers in the dishwasher and have had no problem. The cofee is SO DELICIOUS (even though I was bummed that there is no "pause and serve," we all know that first cup sucks anyways). Also- it AWESOME for brewing iced coffee! Lastly, this is one of the only models I've seen without a hot plate to burn the cofee ( or peel off and stain the glass like on my last coffee maker.) This is an excellent value!

Our old coffee pot died, so we had to buy a new one. We liked the way this unit looked and really liked the idea of a metal thermos style carafe instead of the more traditional glass ones with a hot plate.

However, the spout on the carafe is POORLY designed and leaks all over the counter when you use it. This happens EVERY TIME regardless of how fast or slow you pour or what angle you hold the carafe when you pour, coffee just runs down the side onto your counter.

We are replacing it and I would not recommend this product to anyone. I only rated this unit one star because it of looks AND there was nothing selection available that was worse.

I have had the same exact problems as most of the other people mentioned in this review. I had high hopes for this coffee maker and decided to spend a little more for it because I liked the travel mugs as well. The entire coffeemaker is poorly designed. The carafe drips coffee all over the counter when I pour out of it. The travel mugs are a mess because the black plastic bottoms leak water after washing. The red light goes off on the coffee maker when the coffee is brewed and ready to pour, yet it continues to drip when I remove the carafe. This was a huge waste of money!

After only having this item for about a month, the coffee pot drips and make a mess everytime you pour a cup of coffee. I have had other coffee pots that did not last and when we came across this one, we thouht it would be perfect so decided to spend a bit more money on it than we normally would for a coffee pot. Now a month later, I am regretting it. Thank god it comes with a manufacturers warrenty.

I love my new coffee maker. I have had pod machines, Bunn 3-minute, Mr. Coffee, etc. but the Hamilton Beach Stay or Go beats them all. No hot plate means no burnt coffee. The stainless steel pot is key. Glass can break- steel keeps hot, full flavor for hours. I have never had...on the go mugs that fit the coffee maker...brilliant. Stay or Go is my new favorite! Plus my wife loves the steel and black design which goes perfect in our kitchen.
